KCIL is looking for our next Trustee (or Trustees) to join our board. As a Trustee, you would be crucial in helping us achieve our mission of supporting disabled people to lead independent, fulfilled lives.
We are particularly keen to hear from people with direct experience of the issues that disabled people face. We are open to all applications, but we are particularly eager to hear from people with experience in fundraising, event management, HR, equality and diversity, and youth engagement.
What Does a Trustee Do?
As a Trustee, your responsibilities would include:
- Strategic Direction: Collaborate with the board to set the strategic direction of KCIL, ensuring we continue to make a positive impact on the lives of disabled people in south-west London.
- Governance: Help govern the organisation effectively by offering insight and expertise in decision-making processes.
- Advocacy: Be an advocate for the disabled community, representing their interests and needs in the broader community.
- Networking: Connect with local organisations, businesses, and individuals who can support KCIL’s work and expand our reach.
Why Should You Consider Becoming a Trustee?
- Meaningful Impact: Serving as a Trustee allows you to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of disabled people.
- Personal Growth: You’ll gain valuable experience in governance, leadership, and advocacy, enhancing your professional and personal development.
- Community Connection: By joining our board, you’ll become part of a diverse and dedicated community of individuals working together to create positive change.
