Being a Good Boss

A graphic with speech bubbles, the central bubble says 'I would like to be a good boss', the top left bubble 'what are my obligations as an employer?', top right 'how do I look after my PA's health and safety?', bottom left 'How do I look after my PAs health and safety?', bottom right 'where do I keep my PAs paperwork?'

Employing your own PA can feel daunting; you’re somebody’s boss! You want to make sure that the working relationship between you and your PA goes well.

KCIL supports with many of the responsibilities of being an employer, from finding a PA, to contracts, payroll, insurance and more. But there are day-to-day things to consider, such as where do you keep your PA’s paperwork? How do you let your PA know what tasks you want them to do? There can be questions as varied as the many reasons why someone may employ a PA.

For the people that KCIL support, we’re always at the end of the phone or an email, or you can pop into the KCIL office*. However, if you’re new to being an employer or would just like a refresher, our free Being a Good Boss course can come in extra handy. The free training is another way to ask us those questions or find answers to questions you didn’t even know you had!

So KCIL is really excited to relaunch our Being a Good Boss course; our first one is –

11am – 12pm, 6 December, in the KCIL Office (River Reach, 31-35 High Street, Kingston, KT1 1LF).

Places are limited, so please book in advance by calling 020 8546 9603 or emailing [email protected].
