Enhance your care credentials with free PA/carer training from KCIL, funded by Skills for Care.
Our next round of training dates has just been released; we only have a few training sessions left for this training period, so if you’ve been thinking about signing up, don’t delay!

12.30 – 2.30 pm Infection Control
Thursday 18 April 2024
10- 2 pm Manual Handling
Wednesday 24 April
10- 2 pm First Aid
Each training day includes a free light lunch, giving you the chance to meet with other PAs and carers, as well as the KCIL team, so you can find out about new opportunities.
The training is open to –
- PAs employed by Direct Payment holders,
- people interested in becoming PAs,
- Direct Payment holders (including friends and family who are also involved in support),
- people who may be Direct Payment holders in the future.
The free training will be in our central Kingston office with our PA trainer Karen, who has 17 years experience as a support worker and is now a director of a care agency in North West London.
We are particularly keen to welcome Direct Payment holders, PAs or potential PAs from the Sutton area who may not have been aware of KCIL’s free training offer before. The KCIL office is a 10-minute walk from the Kingston Super Loop bus stop, with buses running between Kingston and Sutton every 15 minutes.
M, who supports her mum, attended one of our previous manual handling courses with Karen –
