We had a fantastic time at this year’s annual KCIL Conference and AGM. In this post we’ll be looking back at our amazing speakers.

Ashley Whittaker – Programme Director – Achieving for Children
Ashley was our AGM keynote speaker. He spoke about the work that Achieving for Children does, and the importance of outdoor activities for SEND children.

Meg Zeenat Wamithi – global mental health campaigner and CEO of MindMapper UK
Meg was our Conference keynote speaker. We’ve written about Meg’s inspiring presentation here.

Councillor Sue Ansari – Royal Borough of Kingston’s Disability Champion
It was fantastic to meet Kingston’s new Disability Champion at the KCIL Conference. Sue spoke about what she would like to bring to the role.

Julian McCarthy – Kingston Tour Guides
Julian entertained the conference with tales of smelly Kingston, we’ll never think of Canbury Gardens in the same way again! Find out more about Kingston Tour Guides here.

Workshops
We were also visited by two wonderful workshops.
Conquest Art – who we wrote about here.
Lorna from Atira Yoga who did chair yoga with us – unfortunately no photos, we were too busy being extremely relaxed!
