Kingston Adult Social Care PA Pay Rise

A letter comes through a letter box, with the words 'Kingston Council'

Do you have a PA funded or part funded by Direct Payments from Kingston Adult Social Care? If so, a letter from Kingston Adult Social Care will be arriving in the next few weeks (or you may have already received it) letting you know about the increase in PA rates to

PAYE rate £17.30/hour
Self-Employed Rates £18.17/hour

Letters will be sent out as care plans are updated. To remain flexible, Direct Payment holders can continue to choose their PA’s pay rate and increase their PA’s pay to the new rate, or they can decide not to increase it.

Kingston Council will not notify the payroll company on the Direct Payment holder’s behalf or discuss pay rates with their PAs, as the PA’s contract is between the employer (the Direct Payment holder) and employees (the PAs), and these discussions should take place between them.

If you are a Direct Payment holder with Kingston Adult Social Care, it is therefore important that you contact your payroll company to inform them that the pay rate has increased (if you decide to increase your PA’s pay in line with the new Kingston Council rate). Your PA’s pay will remain unchanged unless you do so, once you have received your letter from the council.

If you have any questions, please contact the Kingston Adult Social Care Direct Payments team on 020 8547 5005 or KCIL on 020 8546 9603/ [email protected].
