Kingston Council have put forward a proposal that will remove eight existing accessible parking spaces across the borough, while only creating three new spaces to replace them. While we recognise that it is sometimes necessary to move or replace an existing space, a net loss of five accessible parking spaces will be detrimental to those within our community who make use of them regularly.
As always, KCIL has reached out to the council to make our concerns known, and we ask you to do the same. The more of our voices that are heard, the stronger our case becomes. The public consultation ends on February 1st so there is still time to ensure we have our say.
The proposal, and all related documents, can be found on the Kingston Council website and comments are accepted either by emailing [email protected], or over the phone on 020 8547 5000, and quoting the reference: “MapKing0089” in your message.
