#UKDHM – Messages from Kingston’s young people

What young people would like to change in Kingston. Messages from the AfC SEND participation team

This UK Disability History Month, we’re sharing some messages about what’s important to local young disabled people.

I'm a Kingston young person, one thing I would like to change is nothing, I’m happy living in Kingston.
I'm a Kingston young person; one thing I would like to change is the racism in schools. I say to improve there needs to be more awareness within schools and other social areas eg. assemblies and people coming in to talk about it.
I am a Kingston young person working with AFC's participation team to make the lives of young people safe and comfortable! My favourite colour is purple and I like a lot of KPOP music.

Some of the young people also shared video messages with us; talking about the importance of communication. Thank you, Kirsty and Karina.

With thanks to Achieving for Children SEND Participation team.
