KCIL is taking part in this month’s UK Disability History Month celebrations with Kingston Council.

The celebrations were opened on Wednesday with a talk from Councillor Sue Ansari, Kingston’s Disability Champion, at the King’s Centre in Chessington with the Phoenix Group and Friendship Club. Brian Gaff from the Talking Newspaper and Jo Stafferton from KCIL joined Councillor Ansari.

Jo introduced a series of video interviews with KCIL Patron Ann Macfarlane. Ann Macfarlane is a prominent disability rights campaigner who was a key figure in the organisation’s early days. As promised, here are the videos Jo introduced, plus the further material that may be of interest.
