A message from KCIL's CEO, Jason Lamont

I’m delighted to share that from 1 October 2025, KCIL will be delivering the Direct Payments Support Service on behalf of Croydon Council.

This is a proud moment for us as a charity committed to supporting disabled people to live independently, make choices about their care, and have real control over their lives. We already have strong roots in South London, having worked in the Direct Payments arena for more than 20 years and we’re honoured to now extend our work into the Croydon community.

The new service will offer Croydon residents a single, accessible, Direct Payment support pathway. Our role will be to support individuals and families in Croydon to manage their Direct Payments confidently and independently. Whether that’s through advice, managing the direct payment, payroll services, recruiting personal assistants, or simply being a trusted voice on the end of the phone — KCIL is here to help.

To those we will be working with in Croydon: we’re looking forward to getting to know you and supporting you every step of the way. You’ll be hearing more from us over the coming weeks as we prepare for the handover.

We’re grateful to Croydon Council for placing their trust in us, and to our brilliant KCIL team for the passion and professionalism they bring to this vital work.

Warm wishes,

Jason Lamont
