KCIL is planning on getting outside this summer with its members. There will be a trip on the river with The River Thames Boat Project, a visit to Wisley Gardens and trips to Kew Gardens. KCIL members will be receiving their postcard invite in the next few days.
The first trip will be to Wisley Gardens on 3 June, and we have ten free tickets available. Wisley will be celebrating Get Up and Grow, with lots of activities around the theme of gardening and wildlife.
Then on 24 June, we have a trip on the KCIL favourite, The River Thames Boat Project. We also have ten free tickets for this trip.
We will be picking names out of a hat for both trips. For more information and to put your name down for a chance to go, please contact KCIL on [email protected] or 020 8546 9603.
The deadlines to express an interest in the trips are;
- Wisley Gardens- midday Friday 28 May
- The River Thames Boat Project – 5 pm Friday 11 June
Also, contact KCIL if you would like a chance to visit Kew Gardens. We’re planning multiple trips to Kew this summer (dates to be announced), so if you miss out on Wisley or the boat trip, your name will be top of the list for Kew. Kew Gardens is currently exploring The Secret World of Plants, with Plantscapes, tree listening and more. KCIL recently had a test trip to Kew Gardens, and as you can see from the photos, we had lots of fun!
The #KCILSummer events are open to our members; if you’d like to find out more about joining KCIL, please visit our membership page.
