Ref: AHA – PA/carer required to support an autistic 14-year-old boy in Twickenham

PA/Carer required to support a delightful and affectionate autistic, non-verbal 14-year-old boy with sensory sensitivities and some challenging behaviours.

The PA/carer would be required to keep him company, accompany him, keep him safe on walks and trips, and be confident to help with bathing, toileting, and meal preparation.

Experience with autistic children an advantage, as is a driving licence and own car, though not a requirement for the right candidate.

Rate is £12-15 depending on experience.

Hours and days will vary, min 6 hours per week though this will rise during holidays.

Self-employed or PAYE.

Ref: CEW – PA/carer required Thursday mornings to support with paperwork, food preparation and general tasks – Chessington

PA who likes working around dogs, required for a short-term position to support a woman in Chessington with paperwork, preparing dinner and other general tasks.

We would ideally like the PA to already have an up-to-date enhanced DBS in place.

Hours of work 9.30 am-1.30 pm, Thursday mornings, there is the possibility of flexibility with the start time.

Pay rate: £10/hour

Ref: JCO – Personal Assistant required to support young person at youth club – Surbiton

Cheerful and outgoing PA/Support Worker required to support a 19-year-old man attend youth club on Friday evenings. The young man has learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy (controlled by medication). The young man lives in Surbiton; the PA will accompany him by taxi to the youth club and then support/encourage him to participate in the group and the youth club activities.

The young man is non-verbal and is a powered wheelchair user. He will need encouragement to use his communication aid to express himself.

The young man loves Chelsea Football Club and anything to do with transport, so an interest in these, plus experience working with people with disabilities, would be ideal. Some knowledge of Makaton would also be helpful but not essential.

Hours of work: 3 hours a week, Friday 7.00 pm – 10.00 pm.

£10.75/hr (£10.92/hr self-employed)

Ref: MGH – Personal Assistant/Carer required to support 92-year-old man with personal care in Surbiton

Experienced PA/Carer required to support a private and independently minded 92-year-old man in Surbiton with washing and bathing. The PA will also provide support with;

  • medication
  • preparing meals
  • meal times
  • mobility
  • outings (when required)
  • laundry and general cleaning.

Driving license, DBS, First aid and Manual Handling qualifications required.

A PA that shares and can engage with the gentleman’s interests would be a bonus. He now has little appetite for food, but he enjoys remembering his wife’s cooking. He also enjoys TV and watching sports such as tennis but has trouble focussing for long periods. He also used to have an interest in clothes shopping and watering the plants in his garden.

Shifts are twice a week, shift times to be discussed at interview, but will be 1 hour in the morning and potentially a short early evening call to assist with medications.

£13/hr, self-employed PAs preferred but will consider PAYE PAs.

Experienced and patient Support Worker/PA required for a young person with a mental health condition. The main duty is to accompany them to local parks (e.g. Bushy Park in Kingston), keep them safe and play tennis with them (all equipment will be provided, and court fees paid). As they suffer from anxiety, the PA will initially need to work with them to gain their confidence and trust before starting out on trips into the community. Awareness of epilepsy and working with mental health patients essential, as is a calm and gentle nature. Self-employed applicants only please.

Hours of work: Initially 2 hours a week increasing to up to 10 hours per week

Pay rate: £10.92/hour

Older woman in Kingston, with bipolar disorder, chronic pain, age-related cognitive decline and chronic stress, seeks experienced and empathetic carer/personal assistant. She requires support with trips out, short walks, personal care, washing/drying and general household chores. She is looking for someone who can provide companionship, so an interest in daytime TV, sport (especially tennis) and fashion would be a bonus.

Driving license and car required.

Hours of work: Monday and Thursday mornings 10-12.

Pay rate: £10.75/hour

Ref: ATA – experienced Band 6 RGN nurses with PICU experience are required for Waking Night nurse roles

Two experienced Band 6 RGN nurses with PICU experience are required for Waking Night nurse roles, to care for a 3-year-old girl in Kingston upon Thames. The shifts are 9 pm to 8 am, with one four days a week position, and one three days a week position, although there could be some flexibility with shift patterns.

As well as paediatric intensive care experience, the nurses are required to be up to date with their tracheostomy, Astral 150 ResMed training and to have done the HDU course.

Duties throughout the night will include positioning, nebulisers, gastro feeds and jejunal feeds.

Free Parking available, and Norbiton station is a short walk away.

Pay rate: £40 per hour / £440 per shift
