Access and Mobility Committee
As part of our goal to promote and create positive change in Kingston upon Thames and beyond; KCIL holds a quarterly Access and Mobility Committee where we, along with our partners, can bring the concerns of the Disabled Community and our service users to the attention of local organisations, businesses, and decision makers – making their voices heard and connecting them with the right people to make the changes that benefit the community.
Current committee members include:
- KCIL Staff and Service users
- Representatives from other local charities and Disability organisations
- Local Councillors
- Officers from council departments, including; Equalities, Planning and Development, Highways and Transport, Work and Pensions, etc.
- Local Schools and Education Centres
- Disability and Accessibility experts and professionals
- Personal Assistants and Care Providers
- Concerned local residents
- And more
And the committee is always growing, evolving, and looking for ways to better represent the Disabled Community. If you or your organisation are interested in attending, submitting a topic for discussion and action, or would simply like to learn more, please contact our Access Facilitator using the button below.
