We are seeking a kind, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to support an 89-year-old lady in her own home.
The role involves providing day to day support to help EHF1 remain comfortable, safe, and well cared for at home. Duties will include preparing lunches, which will mostly be hot meals provided in advance and stored in the fridge or freezer. These will need to be reheated using a microwave or air fryer. You will also assist with personal care including washing and changing incontinence pads and occasionally help with changing bed linen when required. All support must be delivered with sensitivity, dignity, and respect, with a strong focus on her comfort and wellbeing at all times.
Weekday support will mainly involve evening calls to help her get ready for bed.
The ideal candidate will be naturally caring, patient, and attentive, with a genuine understanding of the needs of an older person. You should feel comfortable providing personal care in a discreet and respectful manner. Previous experience in elderly care or a similar role would be welcomed but is not essential, as full training will be provided to the right person.
