The role will focus on companionship, safety and wellbeing, supporting PLB1 to remain active and engaged in activities he enjoys. This may include walks around the local neighbourhood, playing simple games, watching cricket and football together, and encouraging conversation and participation in meaningful activities.
The role would suit someone caring, patient and dependable, with a friendly and positive approach. The Personal Assistant should be comfortable supporting someone living with dementia and able to accompany him on walks, while ensuring his comfort, dignity and safety at all times.
Previous experience in dementia care would be desirable but is not essential.

The role will involve two-way conversations, reading books and taking SYI out to the community like local parks, libraries, day trips to London, horse riding lessons in Teddington, ice-skating in Streatham or swimming in New Malden.
SYI is autistic so someone experienced in working with autistic people and people with learning disabilities would be preferred.

SPA-FDA was diagnosed with dementia and need support in the morning with getting him ready for the day (1 hour about 10am-11am). The main task will be help with shower.
