You’ll pick her up around 7:00 pm to arrive by 7:30 pm, then collect her at 10:00 pm when the class finishes. You won’t need to stay during the class, just return for pick-up.

PA/Support Worker (ref: SPA-MTE)

KCIL is seeking a patient, understanding, and dependable PA to work with a 22-year-old autistic man who enjoys getting out into the community, but sometimes needs reassurance and support to manage feelings of anxiety.
Your role will be to help him feel calm, confident, and safe, whether he is at home or out and about. You’ll be there to listen, offer encouragement, and guide him through daily activities. Some days, you might accompany him to places he enjoys in the local area, supporting him to take part in community life. Other days, you may be offering quiet, steady support at home.
We are looking for someone who can build a positive, trusting relationship with him and his family. An understanding of autism (or a willingness to learn) will help you succeed in this role. The most important qualities are patience, empathy, and reliability.
Hours and days will be arranged in discussion with SPA-MTE’s family.

PA/Companion (ref: SPA-GCO)

We are seeking a kind, reliable, and supportive female PA to help a 64-year-old woman maintain her independence and enjoy day-to-day life.

You will be providing both practical assistance and emotional support. This includes help with personal care such as washing and dressing, along with encouragement and support to complete physiotherapy exercises. You’ll also assist with preparing healthy meals and snacks in line with a pescatarian diet, as well as general household tasks including ironing, washing dishes, cleaning, and food shopping.

Out and about, you’ll accompany SPA-GCO to appointments, swimming, and social activities – so being a confident driver with your own car is essential.

Part of your role will involve reminding SPA-GCO to take medication, learning how to support with continence care using the Coloplast system and TTNS, and lending a hand with her two friendly German Shepherd dogs – feeding them and being comfortable around large pets.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Female, due to the personal care needs of the role.

  • A car driver with your own vehicle.

  • Comfortable around large dogs.

  • Compassionate, respectful, and supportive, with an understanding of how depression and anxiety can affect daily life.

  • A good conversationalist who enjoys providing companionship as well as practical help.

  • Reliable, patient, and willing to learn new skills.

PA/Companion (ref: SPA-PJS)

A warm, sociable and independent 58-year-old woman is looking for a PA/Companion to provide both practical and social support to help her live life to the fullest. She enjoys a varied lifestyle that includes food shopping, browsing the shops, occasional days out, meals at restaurants, trips to the theatre and comedy shows. She values good conversation, enjoys music and reading, and loves spending time outdoors when the weather allows. The role will also involve accompanying SPA-PJS to hospital and other appointments.
At home, support is needed with tasks such as putting shopping and deliveries away, assisting with coats and outerwear when required, and occasionally helping to keep things organised—whether that’s sorting cupboards or light household chores. Cooking assistance is sometimes required, so a willingness to lend a hand in the kitchen is important. Personal care and general housework are already covered by other carers and services, so this role is focused more on companionship, outings, and day-to-day support.
The ideal person will have a full driving licence and be comfortable driving a wheelchair accessible Motability vehicle. Experience or knowledge of moving and handling would be beneficial, as the client uses an electric wheelchair. It’s important that you’re animal-friendly, have a kind and patient nature, and bring along a good sense of humour to make the role enjoyable for both of you.
If you are someone who enjoys helping others live independently, values companionship, and can offer flexible, reliable support, this could be a rewarding role for you.
