Experienced PA required to care for a 14 year old girl living in New Malden. Duties will include taking her out in the community (e.g. to parks and playgrounds), as well as supervising her at home (e.g. whilst she is eating). As she can display some challenging behaviours, the PA must be good at setting boundaries and have a good sense of humour. 

Hours of work: 1 shift of 3 to 4 hours a week at the weekend or after school (flexible). Hours may be increased in the future

ABC family is looking for a part-time nanny to assist with care for a child with cerebral palsy. The ideal candidate will be warm and caring, focused, alert, with outstanding hygiene standards and some experience.

  • Personal care, including manual handling and changing
  • Using a hoist (training can be provided)
  • PEG feeding (training can be provided)
  • Gentle play and exercise

The ideal candidate would be someone with a background in/studying medicine, education or physiotherapy. However, a keen enthusiasm to learn and assist with care for a child with complex medical needs would be fantastic too!

DBS check is required, and it can be done upon acceptance of the role.

ITH likes playing ball games, companion cycling, going to the local playground and park. ITH also enjoys swimming so the ideal PA would be someone who likes going to swimming pool.
The job includes personal care as ITH is double incontinent.

Unique Job Number: EYU1 Personal Assistant/Carer

KCIL is looking for a PAYE PA to assist 15-year-old girl with multiple complex needs with care. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interactive, warm and shows willingness to learn. 
Duties would include personal care, giving medicine, dressing, PEG feeding, packing ETY’s bag to school. Manual handling training, PEG feeding and hoist experience is preferred, but training can be given to the right person.
The evening shifts will be between 4pm to 7pm or 4pm to 10 pm from Monday to Friday depending on the experience and suitability of the carer.
At 5pm is feeding time (half blended food is given via syringe and the other half is formula), once she’s rested then it’s time for personal care. Medications are given at 7pm. EYU has no formal method of communication so the ideal PA needs to show initiative in finding a connection with EYU and learning about her habits and needs. Creativity in keeping the child occupied is something the ideal PA will be able to provide. We are looking for someone who can make EYU smile and keep her safe and well looked after. 
The weekend shifts would be 4-6 hours (days to arrange with the family) and it may include going out.

The role will involve taking KMA out to local park or farms but also for indoor activities, like children’s activities centres – soft play, swimming, museums, multiple fun activities, etc. Experience working with autistic children would be beneficial, however a training for the right person will be given.

The ideal PA must be able to give personal care (nappy change) to KMA and has had experience working with non-verbal autistic children or other learning disabilities under the age of 10 years .

Surbiton family (including 2 children, ages 17 and 11) need an au pair/care assistant for their physically disabled son, aged 17.  

The successful applicant would preferably live-in, as part of the family with their own room. They will be part of a team of carers, teachers and therapists – with this team largely covering the day time period. In addition to their caring responsibilities, the successful applicant would do normal light day-to-day tasks like cooking, washing-up and clothes washing, alongside the family – who separately employ a cleaner for the main cleaning role.

The position has four weeks’ holiday a year pro rata.

Helping with the personal care of JDA2 is core to the position. Duties include helping to get him up and put him to bed, washing and dressing him and preparing his food. No nursing qualifications are required, but some experience of caring is highly preferable, as is a “can do” attitude to our JDA2’s disability. Tasks will include assisting with basic massage and gentle physical exercises. Help with JDA2’s sister may be required from time to time.

A good level of conversational English is important, as is a good level of fitness and strength. Basic cooking skills would be an advantage.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work with a creative six-year-old girl based in Kingston upon Thames who is home-school and has a form of autism called Pathological Demand Avoidance as well as ADHD.
The ideal candidate will be a consistent and reliable presence in the child’s life, supporting her with educational activities at home and maintaining regular communication with her teacher. In addition to educational support, the LSA will accompany her to forest school and 1:1 swimming lessons once a week, assisting with practical tasks such as helping in the swimming pool changing rooms.
