George Tong

“To have the kind of boundless energy to take those kind of disappointments and setbacks and still keep fighting…seeing more more disabled people inspired to take that challenge on, must be the key thing really in trying to turn the tide.”

George Tong

George Tong volunteered at Bedelsford special educational needs school as a teenager, which led to him accepting a job at the Centre for the Handicapped in New Malden. Following a name change to the Crescent Resource Centre, George progressed to work as the centre’s manager until its closure in July 2011. George is passionate about ensuring the disabled community have a voice, and continues to work in the sector today.
